F.A.S.T

If you have had one stroke, you can have another.

Remember "F.A.S.T." to remember the signs and symptoms of stroke

  • Face

    • Facial drooping

  • Arm

    • Tingling or numbness on one or both sides of the body

    • Can be in arms, legs, or face

  • Speech

    • Slurred (drunk) speech

    • Nonsense speech

    • Sudden loss of ability to speak

  • Time

    • Get to a hospital quickly

    • Inform them of a suspected stroke

    • Quick response saves function and independence
